Create a profile per account
Name each one (e.g., Work, Personal, Side project) and pick a color so you can tell them apart at a glance.
Each gets its own dock app
Real Mac apps in your Applications folder. They show up in Spotlight, Launchpad, and the Dock with their own icon and name.
Launch them side by side
Open Work and Personal at the same time. Switch between Claude accounts with Cmd-Tab, like any other app. Nothing to quit, nothing to reload.
FAQ
Can I run two Claude accounts at the same time?
Yes, and you're not limited to two. Open your work and personal Claude accounts side by side, each signed in, each in its own window. Multi-Claude runs as many Claude Desktop accounts as you want, each a separate Mac app, so nothing logs out when you switch.
How do I switch between Claude accounts?
Cmd-Tab, like any other Mac app. Each account is its own dock app, so switching between Claude accounts is the same as switching between Safari and Mail. No quitting, no re-logging in.
Does Anthropic allow this?
Anthropic's Consumer Terms permit running multiple legitimate accounts (e.g. work + personal) on one machine. Multi-Claude is for users with two real accounts, not for stacking free accounts.
Will it break when Claude updates?
Multi-Claude is a thin wrapper: it just launches the real Claude app with a different data directory. Claude updates itself normally; Multi-Claude keeps working. If a future Claude release ever changes how this works, we'll ship an update.
How many profiles can I have?
As many as you want. The app's purpose is multi-account, not multi-tenant. Most people land on 2-3.
Can I sync profiles across Macs?
Not in this version. Each Mac stores profiles locally. Cloud sync may come later if there's demand.
What about Windows?
Mac only for now. Windows is on the roadmap!

Does my license work on multiple Macs?
Yes. One license covers all the Macs you personally use.
Does it work with Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise?
Yes. Multi-Claude doesn't care which plan each account is on, it just runs the real Claude app, signed in normally.
